Belgian Diamond owner Bob Skubis wanted his customers to realize that his shop was their neighborhood resource for knowledge and service for fine jewelery. They could freely stop by at any time and not feel like they were being hustled or "sold" anything. This is not something you can just send in a document or email campaign, it has to be seen and demonstrated again and again. In other words, it was a perfect application for video.
Rather than pop in every few weeks and set up lights to film only a few minutes of video, we took a whole day and shot several episodes. This was more efficient, and a lot less disruptive. Bob went on camera and covered several topics ranging from trust to wholesale to conflict diamonds. Bob's business partner Tom Tilney is the shop's designer, and we filmed him explaining various elements of his work and design philosophy.
Many of the videos appear on the company's home page, and while it is not the same thing as physically coming to the shop, it does an excellent job of showing the kind of people you will meet when you do visit.
